Hatha Yoga is the traditional comprehensive Indian Practise, combining several elements to balance, strengthen, invigorate, nourish & cleanse the physiological body. Hatha encompasses postures/sequences 'Asanas' (both static and flowing), breathing practises 'Pranayma',(to remove blockages, cleanse and revitalize), Relaxation techniques (to centre and calm the mind, & remove impurities of thought) and chakra awareness (linking of energy centres, the vital organs and their functions).

 

Josie also encompasses Kirtan (chanting of sacred sutras) and short mantras into her sessions where appropriate, and offers workshops/group sessions specifically focused on learning and chanting of these mantras, which is a powerful tool to surpasse the physical body and connect to a higher purpose of spirit.
